Why the roofline matters in Calgary
Cold winters make attic ventilation especially important. Warm indoor air that reaches a poorly vented attic condenses, feeds frost and ice damming, and rots the fascia from behind. Vented soffit lets air move along the underside of the roof deck so the attic stays closer to outdoor temperature. Strong prairie winds also work loose poorly fastened soffit panels, which then let in birds and squirrels.
Options We Install and Repair
Vented aluminum soffit
Lightweight, rust-free and the usual choice for ventilation.
Vinyl soffit
Budget friendly and easy to match to vinyl siding.
Solid soffit panels
Used under porches and covered entries where venting is not needed.
Custom-wrapped fascia
Aluminum coil formed on site to cover wood fascia boards and cut maintenance.
How the Work Goes
We remove the old soffit and any rotted fascia, check the framing and insulation baffles, then install new boards, wrap and soffit panels. Eavestrough can be reinstalled or upgraded in the same visit so the roofline is done once.

Soffits & Fascia FAQ
Do I need vented soffit?
Most attics need intake ventilation, and soffit is the usual source. We check your existing venting during the site visit and recommend vented panels where they are needed.
Can you replace fascia without replacing the eavestrough?
Usually the eavestrough has to come off to reach the fascia. We can reuse it if it is in good shape or replace it at the same time.
Is wood fascia a problem?
Wood works when it is sound and painted, but it rots wherever water gets behind it. Wrapping it in aluminum is a common way to protect it.
